End Of Year - Happy Ending

At every year end in Miri, lots of activities take place at almost every corner of the Resort City. Taking for example wedding ceremony, engagement ceremony, church fund raising activities, individual villages activities, political activities. All of these activities host dinner here and there so just imagine how the Miri hotel ball room are booked. Events are taking place almost every weekends. During the dinner event, on of my favorite activities is the traditional dance and  the recorded sape music. Yeah...sape music a popular inhouse player can easily do that. e.g on the 19-12-2010 the Long Bedian will be having their get-together-dinner to be done at Miri civic center. Lot of activities are line up beside eating. Long Bedian which is one of the beneficiary of the  trans Sarawak - Sabah gas pipelines. This village also won the National and State award for the best economical program previously. The number of population is around 2000 people and over 200 doors. They h

Persatuan Kebangsaan Kenyah Sarawak will be hosting one of the Best tribal event  or festival for the year 2010. The avenue or the place will be in Asap Resettlement area in Belaga.Asap is the finale settlement area for the Bakun Dam displaced residents. The event will commence on 03-12-2010 and end on 05-12-2010. The actual and exact avenue is the mini stadium. The Association's Branch from Asap will be given the right to host this event on behalf of the association. As usual, my favorite event like traditional beauty contest, traditional sape musical competition will be held. Other competition include man and woman single dances and some other tribal event as well. Of course sale of homemade handcraft will be available on the spot.

Two Different Governance in one Government

Its about assistance during natural disaster like floods, fire and so on. When Sarawak longhouses were gutted by fire or longhouse submerged under water there will be 2 likely decision by local politicians and government official.Of course politician and government officials are the same cloud. They will say we will monitor the situation and so far we have not receive any report. This is a crime committed upon those affected. The incident are seen and published while they wait for report. Even they receive report they will say no money allocated. Even if there is money allocated, they will say no infrastructure. Thats happening in Sarawak. While in another situation in another Malaysia  (western States) its different. Action seem to be better off. is this because the area is under the nose of the federal ministers or something else. There seem to no money issues in Sarawak states when immediate needs are crying knocking at the door. What happen to all the taxpayers money? The royalty
