Long Bedian. Long Bedian is a remote Kayan longhouse located in upper Apoh river. The longhouse have 210 doors with population estimated at 2,000 peoples. As a norm phenomena of urbanisation, only couples of people manned the longhouse throughout the year. During the last gawai festival ( we dont celebrate gawai), the urban Long Bedian residents that went back to clean up their rooms dust were 1,200 people. that look as if its was just half because most were not seen anywhere. The only access to the longhouse is by timber roads. Larger transport system for the neighbours to nearby village such as Long Liam, Long Tebangan, timber camps. Local tourists having their nice time at Ria cafe in long Bedian. there are couple of small cafe like coffee shop at Long Bedian where you can eat and relax.
